Almost always, tile told a story using murals, creating fine art images and designed for those few who could afford priceless luxury, who were assured their stories would survive all but the most serious catastrophic events.
The artististic story-telling hasn’t changed, but
thanks to technology, it’s now as affordable as it is
durable, and the possibilities for its uses limited only
by the imagination.
Images In Tiles, a Joplin company, has mastered the technology to create just what the name implies: rich and wonderful images for the finest hotels and corporate offices – and of course, for home designs where only the very finest craftsmanship will do.
For architects, designers, builders and contractors, Images In Tile may be the difference-maker for your next client.
Imagine the possibilities in lobbies, entrances, fireplaces, back splashes, showers, fountains and even swimming pools.
Even corporate and business signage, floor and wall designs are possible as never before on a variety of surfaces, adding elegance and ambiance to restaurants, schools, retail stores, sports facilities and residential applications.
Images In Tile utilizes the latest technology in dye sublimation inks, coupled with breakthrough digital and heat transfer to replicate just about any image you can imagine on a variety of surfaces, including stone and glass.
Creating murals involves photo printing onto a carrier paper using sublimation dyes, then placing them in a heat press at 400 degrees. The molecules from the dyes turn into a gas, which allows them to penetrate the tile. During the cooling process, that gas turns back into a solid and imprints permanently onto the surface.
Tiles can then be used in virtually any application where tile makes sense, replicating classic imagery from the past, coporate imaging or original graphics designs. At least 12 varieties of tile are readily available, as well as other materials on a case-bycase basis.
Thanks to the Internet, you can see the process for
yourself, as well as explore the possibilities other
clients have tried successfully.
